Mmmm what Network Card were you using before, as this motherboard comes with onboard lan card, might be worthwhile sticking the old one back in to see if it makes a difference, shitty drivers for the NIC are normally to blame for shitty pings.
You should be able to disable the NIC in the bios or "on-board lan" as it is more affectionately known.....
Failing that look for some updated nic drivers for the onboard one and dont use the out of the box ones unless there are no updates, then try adding the old card back in....unless the old one was an onboard nic then your fecked.

I know people who play with 512 ram and play fine this is a long shot but would the game setting have a problem with your ping? set all of your game setting to default and see what happens its worth a try. If this does'nt work mabey your isp? o'r try reinstalling cod and try with the default cfg if your useing any configs.

Just a matter of elimination processI think robson. Are you experiencing High pings on other Games? After reinstallation of xp u may not have the protection u had before I had high pings due to spyware eating my resoures. Check your system process in task manager to see are they stable.gud luk
