Hi everyone,

a few hints for the installation of ET under windows 7.

Install ET and the patch 2.6 with a right click on the icon using administrator rights!!!
If you are not doing so you will be constantly kicked with a PnkBstrA.exe error. :S
Patch 2.6b and the ETPro stuff you only need to copy is no trouble.

Very important for running ET on windows 7 is to run the game by a right click on
the ET-icon and run the game as an administrator.
If you start the game by a normal doubleclick you will recive the following error message
from punkbuster: "Game code (ui_mp_x86.dll) failed Pure Server Check". :(

Hope this might help. The credits go to LittlePsycho \o \o \o

At least let me say Windows 7 owns \o/

Rosencruz you are exactly 2 days late, for your comment to be exactly 2 years from the original post. (Y)

But nevertheless welcome to our Forum v55

Heh, I'll add some 2-year late comments then :)

I play on Windows 7 x64 - didn't install with admin privileges. Just install / patch / play pretty much.

Only things I had to do were manually update PB using PBSetup and also manually install the PB services using an installer I d/l'd from Evenbalance. (Later PB enabled games like ETQW automatically do this).

After that, seems to work fine for me, except the occasional glitch (good old ATi and their drivers!!!).

Speaking of which, about time I upgraded from my now ancient Radeon HD 3870.
