First time posting, so hello everyone.

I recently switched to mac and tried to install my favorite game straight away. Downloaded version 2.60d, installed pb and, rather dumbly, I enabled the pb while creating an account (later I found here on the forum that it's the one thing I shouldn't have done). However, I'm not even sure if my problem is even a pb problem: when I try to join the fp server it gets stuck while downloading some file and endlessly tries to download it again.

I uninstalled et and pb and reinstalled it again, but mac is much smarter than me and behaves like nothing was ever removed from it. It's a mountain lion 10.8.3

Anyone got an idea what's going on? It is important that you guys help me to come back to the server, as I'm drastically bad in 1 on 1 shootouts thus providing ye all with loads of easy kills. Thanks in advance!

If it keeps downloading the same file, try do disable the downlads and reconnect.

cl_allowdownloads 0 i believe

Go to etmain folder and delete those files, then go to etpro folder and check if they're there, if so, delete them to. Then try again!
