For the people who want to visit our IRC chat with a client instead of the webchat from the site I wrote up some tutorial to install mIRC + NNScript.
First off all we need to download all required files on
www.nnscript.de use the quick downloads in the right top (NNSCRIPT & MIRC), save them both somewhere on your computer.
First we are going to install mIRC, just open the file and follow the installation instructions (*cough* next next *cough*
).
After that we are going to install the mIRC addon called NNScript, open the installer and follow again the instructions
NNScript makes a icon on your desktop called 'Launch NoNameScript', always open it throught that icon, because NNScript made some changes that NNScript doesn't load by default in mIRC
Now you first launched NNScript they ask you to setup it, usually the default settings will do fine, so close the setup box.
Now press ALT + O and fill in the first screen you see with your nickname and such. After that go to Options part (Under treeview of connect), tick the field 'Connect on statup', and press 'Perform...'.
Now the Perform window comes up.
First off all tick the box called 'Enable perform on connect'.
Now we got to specify which network we want to use it on, in our case, it's Quakenet, so click on Add and select Quakenet and click on Ok.
Now we can enter perform command, those will be executed each time you get on Quakenet (automatic join channels and such)
Type in the command perform command the following text:
/join #[fp]clan
This will let you automaticly join our channel
Now press Ok twice to leave mIRC options.
Now type in the status window the following text:
/server irc.quakenet.org
This will now make you connect to Quakenet, now you should be automaticly connected to Quakenet each time you open mIRC
Have fun on #[fP]Clan's crazy IRC Chat
