OK We lost the forum due to a corrupt index on common.php, I have written a script which will repair it and this needs to be run in an asp page which submits the sql repair table call into mysql, our isp for the forums doesnt allow direct access, so i spent a quick 30 minutes learning how to submit the page via ASP net, wasnt easy, but it took its time to re-index but I think its all good now.

Can you all keep an eye out for any funnies, there shouldnt be, just want to make sure.

At least now we know what happens and how to sort it out...

I think it was just mysql that got corrupt (not php), what I saw was that it couldnt read the table descriptors. Nice to see the sql repair statements work, never knew what they were for

Another way than scripting and still having 'direct access' is using phpmyadmin. (see thread in admins i think)

I still wonder what has caused it.
