Heya i have a problem, which i hope someone knows an answer to. I'm running Windows 7 64bit version and as i have no problem running ET itself (i set the Compatibility to XP SP3 and i run it as Administrator) i have problems with using ET Minimizer, i do the same i set Compatibility and run it as Admin just like the game. But when i try using it ingame (pressing Alt+Z) instead of desktop i get a black screen, and when i press it again it goes back into the game, so apparently the minimizer is working, (minimizing the game). Its just not displaying what it should (displays a damn black screen instead of my desktop) Any suggestions/ideas are greately apriciated. Cheers

I use a nice freeware game launcher called Gamescanner http://www.bdamage.se/Has an inbuilt minimizer that may work for you.

ok what happens with using Enter+Alt is after minimizing, a minute or two later my ET crashes with the msg: Missing/Corrupt Windows API Function [131144] i tried running this GameScanner program you suggested Gimpsta (cheers for that), but Win7 isn't allowing me to install lol saying: The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. Can't run the installation as an Administrator any suggestions? Thx for the help

Got any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Hmmmmm .. that's strange All Gamescanner is doing is launching a command like your desktop shortcut. Let me check my config when I get home and get back to you. This error is usually Punkbuster playing up and it resolves itself after an update or after a few days

Honestly; No idea, someone from clanbase might know. I just do ctrl-alt+delete minimize, not sure if Windows 7 uses the same interface etc,

No problems here Windows 7 - 64-bit, ATi HD3870 512MB I run in Windows XP SP 2 compatibility mode. Don't use a minimiser though - just run "/toggle r_fullscreen;vid_restart" in console then leave ET in background instead

I have the same problem in that Q3E Minimizer v1.51 or GameMinimizer both of which I've used sucessfully in Win7 (64bit) seemed to stop working proberly about a month ago.
I'm not 100% sure on this, but seemed to happen after I updated Catalyst drivers to a newer version, but have tried uninstalling the newer version and going back to old without sucess.
What does work although its a PITA, is when i use my prefered shortcut combo (CTRL+Q) I get a blank black screen, if I then do a CTRL-ALT-DEL I get the LOCK COMPUTER, SWITCH USER, TASK MANAGER thing, but if i choose CANCEL on this I finally get the desktop I was after....takes 5secs longer but does work.
Wish I could find a way to get it back to the way it used to be. Did you ever find a fix for yours?
ps I've never run ET in compatibility mode in Win7, it just worked from day one once I'd properly updated PB.

Sadly he didn't get the fix working I've found out now that when I swich off fullscreen and restart video then I eventually get the PB kick too - takes longer, but it does happen Grrr Then again, I could just play windowed - 24" monitor is mighty big enough for ET and a few other things

Tis crap, without proper drivers the only thing its good for is nailing it to the wall... and it ain't even that pretty, so till they provide some good drivers, it is indeed crap.
