So the limitation has been implemented and so far not one FuelDump got stuck... so the limitations is definitely showing its results.

However it wasn't an ideal limitation. Sadly you can't limit sniper rifles only for the covertops class. Therefor the next best thing is in place now, limiting the covertops class, 2 per team.

Also we haven't found a way to make this limitation effective for only one map, so if anyone has any knowledge of that please come forward, as we were basically looking to limit the class for only FuelDump and Battery. Funny enough all maps (not just fueldump/battery), are now moving a lot faster, not sure but i would say it has to do with less people covertoping and more people engineering and/or medicing or playing other classes.

Covertops is most definitely a crucial class on pretty much all maps, but very rarely would you need more then 2, so i think the limitations works well, doesn't effect the game play in a negative way - quite the opposite.

We will try to find a solution to limit it to only the two before mentioned maps, however it might just turn out that keeping in limited on all maps would work just as good for both teams through the whole campaign.

Well for the most part the Fueldump is more fluent, it does happen that the game still hangs up in the first phase, but that's due to unbalanced teams - which will happen no matter what.

I'd say that 8 out of 10 times, the maps moves to 2nd phase quite fast. Definitely a lot faster and more frequent then before.

Thanks Gimpsta - Al will have to look into this one, it might just be the solution.

I also came up with this:

Per-map autoexec
When a new map is loaded, the client will attempt to execute autoexec_mapname.cfg
Players may use this feature to configure per-map configurations.

So the way i see it, is you make same autoexec, but with each map's name. Then you only implement the limitation of the Covertops class in FuelDump and Battery. With each loading of a new map, that particular autoexec_mapname.cfg will load each time with it's custom cfg.

Both are worth a try, one of them should work - Al?

This limitation could effect on Toothpickvick tho if there are 2 cvops in each team when he joins he will have to play an other class :O:O:O:O:O:O xDDDDD!
